Details: Kalamata 1877 - Skopelos 1949. He studied at the School of Fine Arts (graduate 1901) near N. Lytra and K. Volanaki. He continued his studies at the Academy of Munich. He dealt with landscape painting, animal painting, but also themes from the wars of 1912-1913 and the 1940s. He belongs to the last representatives of the Munich School. His color scale is initially characterized by limited tonal gradations where the objects acquire a special brilliance. His painting, although seemingly academic and attached to the subject matter of his Greek colleagues, creatively includes some features of the modern trends of his time. He took part in group exhibitions, such as the Venice Biennale (1934), and the 1936 Panhellenic, etc. His works are in the National Gallery of Greece, in Rhodes, at the Averoff Gallery, at the Koutlidis, Leventis, and Katsigras Collections, at the Bank of Greece, and at the National Bank.
